The Gold Coast Hinterland is known as the 'Green behind the Gold', and if you venture the short distance into
our hinterland you will find some of the most beautiful natural scenery in the world.
Lamington National Park, one of the earliest world heritage listed parks, is 200 square kilometres of sub-tropical rainforest.
There are many trails through the park that people can walk. They range in length from 1.5 kilometres through to trails that literally take days to walk; something for everyone!
The natural sites of the rainforest includes the Natural Arch where you can swim in the crystal clean fresh water, and Antarctic Beech Trees that date back thousands of years in age.
A popular hinterland destination is Mt Tamborine where you can
stroll through the village, or dine at one of the many cafes. There are also several wineries located on the mountain, and you can tour the wineries and sample the products!
If you head a little further inland you will come to Canungra and Beaudesert where you will find a warm country style. Canungra and Beaudesert also have a range of associated activities such as
rodeos, farm tours, and heritage festivals.
There are a number of day tours to the Hinterland region from which visitors can make their selection.
Please ask Rod or Jenny at reception for further details and information about the tours. We can arrange
all of your tours and transfers for your convenience.
